Pierre-Yves Toulot’s motto is to go beyond what is possible. Ease bores him, especially as his aim is to surprise audiences with his audiovisual, lighting and architectural creations. A taste for surpassing oneself that he expresses through his meticulous studies at ENSATT. These were the first steps in his artistic and technical career, which began with lighting design for the performing arts. A few years later, he developed his craft in the art of monumental architectural projection. Today, he’s a reference in the profession, hence his consultancy role (via WHATSIT, Cosmo AV’s design office brand) in lighting/video design for shows at Futuroscope, the Grand Parc du Puy du Fou, and the Olympic Games. As a consultant or within his own teams, he has achieved several world records for the largest projected image: Le Moulin à Images in 2008, The Eiffel Tower in 2009, Moscow’s Circle of Light in 2015. Its sense of challenge and its taste for collective experience find it a source of exaltation! Cosmo AV, which he founded in 2003 with his sidekick Joseph Cristiani, bubbles with the emulation born of challenges taken up around the world to sublimate or tell the story of heritage treasures, whether nestled or admired in the 4 corners of the globe.
