François Weber has been a sound and image director for almost 30 years. From young companies to national theaters, in France and abroad, he has had the opportunity to take part in numerous projects in a wide variety of settings. While creative work occupies most of his time, his passion for theater and his mastery of technological tools have led him to training. He co-directs the Sound Designer department at ENSATT with Maria Castro.

A developer of digital applications, he is also involved in several research groups. This work is mainly concerned with practices and tools in the live performance sector.

Whether teaching, researching or making art, it’s his keen interest in the stage, dramaturgy and scenography that guides him through all these experiences.
