JTSE Awards 2022 Rules

Article 1 : Organization

The EDITIONS AS JTSE organizing company, launches a contest called JTSE Awards, during the 2022 edition to be held on November 22 & 23.

Article 2: Objective

The objective of the JTSE awards 2022 is to highlight the innovations of companies and technical creators in each of the following categories:

Award for technical creation:
Rewarding an innovative project and/or implementing technical means out of the ordinary in the fields of events, exhibitions, concerts, theater, dance, opera, live shows, amusement parks, … that took or is taking place between 01/09/2021 and 30/09/2022.

The award of the product
hardware
and/or
software
innovative product :
Rewarding a manufacturer and/or a developer for his product hardware and/or software in the fields of audio, light, video, machinery, structure, network, …released or to be released between 01/09/2021 and 30/09/2022.

Award for innovative service:
Rewarding a manufacturer and/or a developer for his innovative service in the fields of: social network, security, database sharing, … placed on the market or being launched between 01/09/2021 and 30/09/2022.

For each of the awards obtained, the company will receive a trophy for the year 2022, which will be a guarantee of quality on the awarded innovation.

Among the companies nominated for the Award of the innovative product hardware and/or software a special jury prize will be rewarded to the company whose product is judged to be the most eco friendly.

In addition to the Awards and prizes deliverd by the jury, two People’s Choice Awards will be presented to the companies judged most innovative by JTSE visitors in the following categories

  • public choice award in the category of innovative product hardware and/or software.
  • public choice award in the category of innovative service.

Visitors will be able to cast their vote on the JTSE website https://jtse.fr/ from 05/10/2022 to 22/11/2022 at 1 pm.

Article 3: Conditions of participation

3.1 – The contest is open to all companies or technical creators (individual or team) participating in the JTSE or not, proposing a technical creation, an innovative product/service in the different categories presented in Article 2.

3.2 – Participation in the contest is free of charge for companies exhibiting at the JTSE.

3.3 – The amount of participation for companies or individuals external to the JTSE will be 300 € .

3.4 – Participants may compete a limited number of times per category:

– 1 maximum participation for the Award of the Technical Creation;

Maximum 3 entries for the Award of innovative product hardware and/or software;

– Maximum 3 entries for the Award of the Innovative Service.

It is essential to complete one form per participation.

3.5 – The company must comply with the rules of article 4 and submit a complete file as agreed. Any incomplete file will be refused.

3.6 – The company acknowledges that compliance with all the terms of these rules is essential to the validation of the application. If the file does not respect the rights of third parties, the application cannot be validated.

Article 4: Method of participation

Registration for the competition will take place on Internet from 23/06/22 to 30/09/22 at 8 pm (Paris time) via a form accessible at the following address: https://forms.gle/jPCp3e5DnL8fQGcA9

Each company will have to complete the form available via Google Forms in which several documents are requested:

– A presentation of the creation/product/service in the form of a data sheet;

– A simplified user guide;

– Videos and photos.

The jury may ask for a demonstration of the product/service to be carried out on the applicant’s premises (or any other relevant location).

Please note: THE QUALITY OF THE DOCUMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN THE SELECTION OF THE WINNING PRODUCT OR SERVICE.

Failure to meet the deadlines will result in elimination.

Article 5: Criteria and method of selection

5.1 – A pre-selection may be made by the JTSE Awards organizing team.

5.2 – The JTSE Awards 2022 jury is chaired by Mrs. Géraldine Mercier, chief editor of the AS Magazine. It will also be composed of six other members (composition in progress).

The jury will be responsible for:

  • Determine a winning technical creation/product/service for each category;
  • Rank in descending order a top three for each category;
  • Not take part in discussions or votes on applications where there is a potential conflict of interest.

In case of disagreement on a classification or a product appreciation, the president of the jury will take the final decision.

Article 6: Schedule

Applications for JTSE Awards are accepted from June 23, 2022.

The deadline for submitting applications is September 30, 2022 at 8:00 pm (Paris time). Any application submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

The jury will select the winners on November 17, 2022 (time required for the trophies to be made).

Voting opens to the public on October 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and closes on November 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

The Awards will be presented to the laureates on November 22, 2022 at 5:00 pm.

Article 7: Intellectual Property

Candidates certify that all content transmitted to the organizer within the framework of the JTSE Awards respects the rights of third parties, in particular intellectual property rights (copyright and industrial property rights: in particular trademarks and patents).

The candidates guarantee to the organizer that the use of the works presented within the framework of the JTSE Awards will not infringe on the rights of third parties and undertake to deal personally with any claim and/or proceedings, whatever their form, purpose and nature, which would be brought against the organizer and which would be directly or indirectly related to the realization and/or exploitation of any content they have presented.

The candidates shall indemnify the organizer against all damages and costs that may result from any dispute with a third party in this respect.

Article 8: Confidentiality

The organizer is authorized to make public the information about the products/services of the participants, without any compensation of any kind. The information may be released to the press, published on the JTSE website or any of its affiliates and the company’s intranet site.

Article 9: Protection of personal data

The personal data provided by the candidates during the registration process will be computerized, recorded and used by the organizer for the purposes of participation. They may also be processed for statistical purposes.

The data will be kept after the end of the relationship for as long as necessary to meet the above-mentioned purposes. At the end of this period, the data will be deleted from active databases or archived for a period not exceeding the applicable legal statute of limitations or archiving obligations. Once the deadlines expire, this data will be destroyed.

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978 and the General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (RGPD), candidates have the rights of access, opposition, rectification and deletion for all data concerning them.

Article 10: Attendance at the award ceremony and authorization of image rights

All applicants agree, in the event if they win, to attend the award ceremony.

All persons present at the awards ceremony agree that the organization may photograph, film, record and exploit their images, voice and words (interview) for the purpose of promoting the JTSE Awards, or the activity of its group in the context of internal or external communication in France or internationally. Such use shall not give rise to any remuneration, compensation, right or advantage whatsoever or give rise to any consideration whatsoever.

This authorization, which is included at the end of the rules, must be signed by the winners.

Article 11: Limit of responsibility

Participation in the contest implies the acceptance of these rules without reservation by the candidate.

The result of the jury’s deliberations cannot be contested.

No compensation is available to not awarded or retained applicants.

The organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the contest if circumstances so require, it being specified that no claim will be accepted in this case.

Likewise, the organizer cannot be held responsible if, due to an unforeseeable, irresistible event outside the organizer’s control, the commitments resulting from the present rules could not be met in whole or in part.

The organization may cancel all or part of the contest if it appears that fraud has occurred in any form whatsoever, including computer fraud in the context of participation in the contest or the determination of the winner(s). Any inaccurate or misleading statement or fraud will result in disqualification of the candidate.

In this respect, the organizer reserves the right to carry out any verification it deems useful, concerning the respect of the rules, in particular to exclude any candidate who does not hold the copyright of the works submitted in his file.

If fraud is detected after the prize-giving, the organization reserves the right to prosecute the perpetrators of such fraud before the competent courts.

The rules will be available for consultation at any time during the event, subject to any case of force majeure, on the dedicated website.

Article 12: Applicable law and dispute

The rules and more generally the contest are subject to French law, to the exclusion of any other.

Any dispute that may arise concerning the interpretation of these rules will be expressly submitted to the sovereign judgment of the organization.

Any difficulty in applying or interpreting the rules or any dispute relating to the contest will be decided in the last resort exclusively by the members of the organization’s management.

No telephone inquiries or complaints regarding the application or interpretation of these rules will be answered. Any dispute or claim relating to the contest must be made in writing to the organizer’s address. No contest will be considered ten days after the end of the contest.
